Dark tea processing steps are : watering, fixing, rolling, fermentation, rolling and drying.

Each day process 100kg fresh tea leaves, the water content is 75% - 80% (take an intermediate value of 78%).

Step 1 : Watering

Because of the materials of drak tea leaves is relatively old, the tea leaves are relatively hard, need add water to soften, water is about 10% of the total weight of tea, about 10kg, let tea water content increase to 80%, now the weight abouy 110kg.

Step 2 : Fixing

Dark tea fixing process time about 4 minutes, each hour can process 15 times, each time can process 7.5kg, we recomend you use 1 set DL-6CST-90 tea fixing machine, this machine can put 10kg tea leaves per time.

After fixing, the water content reduce 20%, drop to about 75%, the total weight about tea leaves is 88kg.

This tea fixing machine use gas as fiel, fixing time about 4 minutes, fixing temperature 280℃ - 320℃, each time put 7.5kg tea leaves.

Step 3 : Rolling

Dark tea rolling time about 15 minutes, rolling speed about 37 rpm, each hour can roll 4 times, each time can process 22kg, we recomend you use 1 set DL-6CRT-55 tea rolling machine, this machine can put 25kg tea leaves per time.

After rolling, the water content is not changed, the total weight about 88kg.

Rolling barrel diameter is 55cm, rolling time about 15 minutes, light press 15 minutes, each time put 22kg tea leaves, rolling speed about 37 rpm.

Step 4 : Fermentation

Dark tea fermentation time need about 16-18 hours, the temperature is kept at 30℃ - 40℃, processing 88kg tea leaves, we recomend you use 1 set DL-6CFJ-30 tea fermentation machine, this machine can put 100kg tea leaves per time.

After fermentation, the weight is not changed, total weight about 90kg.

Fermentation volume about 0.36m³, each time put 88kg tea leaves, dark tea fermentation about 16-18 hours, keep temperature 30℃ - 40℃.

Step 5 : Repeat rolling

Dark tea need repeat rolling, this time, rolling need about 8 minutes, each hour can process 7 times, each time need process 13kg tea leaves, this time, we suggest you use small kind tea rolling machine, the effect will be better, so we recomend you use 2 sets DL-6CRT-35 tea kneading machine, this machine can put 6.5kg tea leaves per time.

After rollingm the weight of tea leaves is not changed, about 90kg.

Repeat rolling need small tea rolling machine, rolling barrel is 35cm, time about 8 minutes, the press is less than step 3, each time put 6.5kg tea leaves.

Step 6 : Drying

Dark tea drying temperature about 75℃ - 100℃, drying time about 2-3 hours, we recomend you use 1 set DL-6CHZ-9 tea drying machine, this machine can put 110kg tea leaves per time.

After drying, the water content of dark tea leaves is drop to 5%, the total weight about 25kg.

This machine drying area is 9m², can put 110kg tea leaves per time, dark tea drying need about 2-3 hours, temperature about 75℃ - 100℃, until the water content drop to 5%.
